The Dubois Historic District is in the commercial heart of the City of Dubois, the largest municipality in Clearfield County. The area consists of approximately nine acres situated along east and west Long Avenue, and north and south Brady Street.
Within the district, fifty-five of the buildings were constructed during the period of 1888-1947. Many of the buildings were erected shortly after an 1888 fire which destroyed all of the structures in the downtown area.
