This small cemetery is a peaceful place within the Egypt Valley Wildlife area outside of the former town of Egypt, Ohio.
The cemetery, which has approximately 100 graves, is of interest for its local history. Here one can find the grave of 13 year old Louiza Catherine Fox. She was found murdered on January 21, 1869 along side another nearby road. Later, Thomas Carr who was a family friend, admitted to and was found guilty of the crime. He became the first person legally hanged in Belmont County, Ohio. A plaque marks the spot where Fox's body was found.
Additionally you can also find a Revolutionary War veteran buried here, as well as a Zinc headstone.
