The AH-1 Huey Cobra helicopter is from the Vietnam era and was flown by the US Army. AH-1's were used during the Vietnam War in combat support role. Cobra gunships were valuable in turning back the 1972 Easter Offensive during the Vietnam War. Cobra's remained in service into the 1991 Gulf War and versions of the Cobra are still used by the United States Marine Corps.
