This picturesque one-room school was built in 1890 by the Harris family, who were pioneers in the Summer Lake area. The school operated until 1919 when shifting population forced its closure. It reopened in 1926 for another three years, but beginning in 1929 students were bussed to the nearby Paisley for school.
