Found neatly tucked into the Greek Theater at Denver's Civic Center park, there is a plaque dedicated to General
Lafayette. The plaque reads as follows:
Tribute to General Marquis de Lafeyette
1757-1834
La Feyette occupies a unique place in our history by his contribution to American Independence and his help in laying the foundation of our traditional ties of friendship with France.
