In the late 70s and early 80s the Elsinore was forgotten and falling apart. When a plan was proposed to raze the structure for parking, a group was formed to restore the building. As part of the early restoration efforts, this mural was painted. It depicts Theda Bara, Marlene Dietrich, Charlie Chaplin and W. C. Fields.
