Yuma Proving Grounds is the premier testing facility for the United States Army. YPG tests a variety of equipment most of which is classified in origin. These two guns were test pieces and are placed at the main entrance to the base. This is a closed installation but their is a museum located on the main post. The Golden Knights parachute team also practice here. You can obtain a pass to view the museum and the Golden Knights at the provost marshals office.
