The bridge was originally built in 1912, and restored in 1981 to it's original appearance. There is a commemorative plaque on the south side (near the posted co-ordinates). The bridge supports one lane of automobile traffic, maximum 5 tonnes.
Best parking is on the west side, south of the bridge. Room for about two cars.
