The inscription on the monument reads as follows:

To the men and women of Spalding County who served their county so faithfully in the Vietnam War and to the loved ones who suffered loneliness and loss.

Erected in grateful tribute by the citizens of Spalding County 1884.

The marble slab in front of the upright monument has a lovely carving in the shape of Vietnam with an overlay of a rifle, boots, helmet and dog tags.

This monument is an impressive and fitting monument to those who served from the grateful citizens they served.
