Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting has a retail shop in the middle of the Pacific Garden Mall. Good luck getting a seat in the coveted outdoor patio on a sunny afternoon. Their speciality is individually-brewed cups of drip coffee; of course they make espresso and the usual assortment of lattes etc.
The company policy is to support only certified Fair Trade Organic coffee producers. The majority of their business is in roasting and supplying custom blends to restaurants and other coffee houses around the country. The wholesale roastery is a few miles away in Watsonville.
