This boulder marks the site of Ft. Early. Constructed by Gen David Blackshear during the war of 1812. Afterwards used by Gen Andrew Jackson in 1818. Erected by the Ft. Early chapter Daughters of the American Revolution 1916.

There is a small pull off spot at the marker. While surrounded by private housing, drive to marker is along the river and quite nice.
