This local establishment has been located in Sumner, WA for many years. The previous name was Coco Joe’s. The business is located next to the Union Pacific Railroad line that runs between Seattle and Portland. The previous owner had a small train mural painted on the building wall.
In 2008, the new owners, Lee & Penny Hogenson purchased the business and decided to increase the size of the mural.
The decision was made to incorporate their two favorite libations, Captain Morgan Rum and Jack Daniels….and so was born the name, “Captain Jack’s”.
Michael Wicks, a local artist, painted both the original train and the addition to the mural 2008.
Captain Jack’s has a full menu, including salads, burgers, steaks, chicken, and seafood entrees.
They also have a full bar which, of course, includes Captain Morgan Rum and Jack Daniels Bourbon.
Captain Jack's have a fun item, it's "Gold Fish Racing". Stop in and enjoy watching the races.
