Singleton's Seafood Shack, a weathered, ramshackle place on stilts, is classic Old Florida. It has docking access for customers and serves a wonderful variety of fresh-off-the-boat seafood served on disposable plates at wide plank tables. Order a mess of fried shrimp or grilled grouper or the feast-like low country boil, then wander over the plywood plank floors to a room just off the side dining area.
Singleton's is where locals take out-of-town friends when they want to treat them to a place that's both good and authentic North Florida. Singleton's meals come with a choice of fried or boiled potatoes, black beans and rice, slaw, the vegetable of the day, and hush puppies. You can order a side of fried okra or fried squash for the table to share. Singleton's peanut butter pie is a favorite.
Singleton's Seafood Shack does not have a website. The website posted on the DDD site is not for this Singleton's.
