The congregation was formed in the 1720s and move to this site in 1771.
The earliest grave I could find was from 1811, but I only took a cursory look.

The nearby church sanctuary was built in 1771, extensively remodeled in 1816 and gutted by a fire in 1937, leaving only the exterior walls. The interior was reconstructed and ready for services in 1939. It is said that George Washington attended services in the sanctuary.

Note the names of early prominent area families on many of the older headstones.
