There are several shipping lines that offer river cruises on the Rhine. There are other options but most cruises go from Cologne to Basel and back, some from Amsterdam. These river cruises can take up to 16 days. This is the cruise ship port on the east bank at the freight port, there is another landing about one kilometer upstream at the west bank.
When I visited the port there were two ships:
Vista Prima: built 2010, length 110m, width 11.4 m, 150 passengers, crew 35, owner Scylla Tours, home port Basel.
Scenic Ruby: built 2009, length 135m, width 12 m, 169 passengers, crew 48, owner Scenic Ruby, home port Valetta, Malta. (This is one of the largest river cruise ships of Europe.)
Name of the Cruise Ship if one is in 'Port'.: Vista Prima - Scenic Ruby
