This war memorial honors the 74 Confederate Dead buried here in this Washington, Arkansas cemetery. The soldiers were brought here after being wounded in The Battle of Prairie De Ann.

Four tiered stone steps are the foundation for the white obelisk-shaped top which has the text listed below. A few shrubs are planted around the memorial and a wreath has been placed at the front. The memorial is at the far back of the cemetery.
