This simple sundial is located in the butterfly garden of the Castlegar art gallery, Castlegar, BC. It is accessible year round to the north east of the gallery building.
The pointer, made of sheet steel and rusted to a nice patina, was given a very pleasing and artistic profile, common to many of its brethren. It has a fairly coarse resolution of 1/2 hour, the indicators made of embedded 1X4 lumber leading to 4 inch angle topped posts. Altogether, it comprises a work of art as much as a functional sundial.
