The Kapphahn house is of the Colonial Bungalow style, constructed in about 1925. The house is behind the Emma Holmes House on property that was originally part of the Holmes lot. After the Holmes house and property was purchased by Ernest and Lylles Kapphahn in 1919, they constructed this house in 1925.
