The exact year of construction is unknown but is believed to date to about 1875. The lot where this house stands was bought by Asahel Bush in 1895 and after several changes in ownership, J.N. and Mariah Robertson purchased it in 1918. They rented a small upstairs apartment to Russell McLaughlin. Grace Robertson, who lived at the house with her parents, eventually married Mr. McLaughlin in the 1940s, after her parents' passing. Grace lived at this house until her death in 1982, ending 62 years of ownership by the Robertson-McLaughlin family. Today the house, like many in this district, contains apartments.
