This brick English Cottage design house was built around 1937 on the site of an earlier landmark, the Nancy and James Clark House. Interestingly, Henrietta Clark had the prior home torn down in 1933 when her last surviving sibling died. The Childs purchased the lot and were living in this home by at least 1938. Mr. Childs worked as secretary and treasurer for the Childs-Miller Realtors. Some interesting features on this property include the matching-designed garage and the narrow hedge-lined walkway that winds from the corner to the front entrance.
