This Queen Anne cottage was built for Isaac Newton Van Winkle and his wife Elizabeth in about 1908. The Van Winkles lived in this house late in their lives. Their son, Isaac Homer Van Winkle, who served as Attorney General for the State of Oregon from 1920 to 1943, lived a couple of houses away.
