This one-and-one-half story vernacular Queen Anne was built sometime between 1906 and 1909 for Joseph and Alma Schindler. Mr. Schindler was a German immigrant who came to Salem in 1878, marrying Alma Litchfield in 1892. The Schindler's lived in this house until 1926, selling it in 1930.
