This Bungalow was built in 1910 for John Denison, a farmer, and his wife Lizzie. Reportedly a barn-like structure was once found at the rear part of the lot. In 1915, the Denisons sold the property to Arthur and Hattie Page, who rented this house to Sceva and Lillian Laughlin, ultimately selling it to them in 1930. Sceva Laughlin was a professional at Willamette University, an author of several books and a Salem City Council member. After his death in 1947, his widow Lillian continued to live at this house until 1960. While modified several times, this structure retains most of it's historical character.
