This one-and-one-half story bungalow was built in 1909 for Michael and America Mitchell. They owned the property until 1919 but it is believed that they never actually lived at this address. They sold the house in 1922 to Charles and Bessie Hill, who then sold it in 1927 to Raymond and Clara Hill. Raymond worked as a creameryman at the Salem Sanitary Milk Company. However, the house was actually occupied in the 1920s and 1930s by William Hill, a janitor, and his wife Mary. Whether or not these various Hill families were related is unclear.
