The World War I monument in Norfolk, CT is a triple fieldstone exedra topped by a replica of the Liberty Bell. It contains a dedication plaque to those who served and two plaques listing the names of citizens from Norfolk who participated in World War I.

The dedication plaque is inscribed:

1917 THE WORLD WAR 1918
IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO GAVE AND THOSE
WHO OFFERED THEIR LIVES FOR LIBERTY
THE PEOPLE OF NORFOLK HAVE BUILT
THIS MONUMENT AND CROWNED IT WITH
THE LIBERTY BELL
IN THE FAITH THAT IT WILL RING THE
KNELL OF WAR
AND PROCLAIM THE BROTHERHOOD OF MAN

IT IS A CAREFUL REPRODUCTION OF THE
