Completed about 2005, Nelson's City Hall is, naturally enough, the site at which the city flies its flag and displays its Coat of Arms. The flag, adopted in 1969, flies alongside the Canadian and British Columbian flags.

Nelson's flag consists simply of the city's Coat of Arms on a white background, green triangles below, representing the mountains, and "Nelson B.C." in white across the bottom on a blue background.
