This stone is definitely marble. The relief art and extra care for this stone is obvious. this tombstone is recorded in a Find-A-Grave listing.
"The dove then became a symbol of purity and peace because God had made peace with man. It also became a powerful symbol of the Holy Ghost, as illustrated in Jon 1;" ~ Stories in Stone, by Douglas Keister, 2004, page 79
"Friedens Cemetery was established in 1834. Over the years many of our gravestones have disintegrated into the earth. In recent years many of our older gravestones have fallen over and/or broken into pieces. In 2017 the congregation decided to have a capital campaign to restore our gravestones that are in need of repair. Thanks to our many contributors and largely the Harmon Foundation we have begun to restore the oldest part of the cemetery. With the expertise of York Cemetery Services our gravestones are again standing to honor those who have gone before us." ~ Friedens Cemetery
