Description:
An amusement park ride on tracks. Usually chain assisted or a thrust lift to a summit and then gravity driven along a circuitous track.
Expanded Description:
Often found within amusement parks, but sometimes as stand alone features in some locations, these thrill rides excite riders by taking them on a circuit course with hills, valleys, twists, turns and loops.

Ranging from basic ovals with small hills, to massive plummets which dive riders into a spiral or a vortex, sometimes with tunnels or over water, there are many variations available for the passive rider all the way up to reckless dare devils.
Instructions for Posting a Roller Coasters Waymark:

All entries must be for permanently placed roller coasters, not those found in travelling carnivals.

The roller coaster must follow a basic rail-track design or similar variation. All wooden and metal coasters are acceptable, and may be of any height or speed.

You will need to be able to provide the following Variables for a listing to be accepted: } Amusement Park Name or Area } Construction type (Wooden, Metal, Other) } Maximum Height } Top Speed } Duration of Ride } Will you get wet?

There are optional variables to allow even more detail to be added for items like invertions, height restrictions, car/train types, etc. Check the full variable list for more info!

Please provide coordinates of the entrance to the ride and a photo of the ride that you took during your visit. Please try to capture as significant a portion of the ride as possible and also any signs showing the name of the coaster if possible.

Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:

Post a photo of yourself near the entrance of the coaster and try to capture some aspect of the ride. Be sure and describe your ride too!
