Youth can find help at Safe Place sites in their own
neighborhood whenever they need it. Safe Place connects youth to immediate
help and safety and offers supportive services to both youth and their families.
Safe Place locations include youth friendly businesses, schools, fire
stations, libraries, YMCAs and other appropriate public buildings that
display the distinctive yellow and black Safe Place sign. Many communities
designate buses as mobile Safe Place sites.

This is not to be confused with A Safe Place or Safe Place,
Inc. We are looking for all those locations/businesses that display the yellow
and black Safe Place Sign shown below.
In 1999 it came to the attention of society that there
needed to be a "Safe Place" for newborn infants to to dropped off with
no questions asked. The Baby Moses Project is now showing those in need that
there are alternatives to abandonment of newborns. The following article
explains more. http://www.babymosesproject.org/index.html
We are now going to include these signs in our category.
