<p>
The goal of this category is to locate and document the life of President Barack Obama, before and after becoming President. President Obama was born August 4th, 1961 and is the first African American to hold the office.<p>
<b>Expanded Description:</b><p>
This category is to waymark notable locations that are directly related to Barack Obama's life, before and after being elected President. <br>
<b>Waymarks can include:</b> places where he has lived or currently lives, places he went to school, churches he attended, places he visited where his image or likeness is permanently displayed, notable locations he has visited since becoming president, such as vacation destinations, restaurants, schools, or other places. Painted portraits or Statues erected in his honor. Also any places named in his honor (which will eventually happen.)<p>
<b>Some other examples of acceptable Waymarks:</b><p>
Locations visited during the course of his Presidential Duty. The location should be specific, such as Houston Hilton, but not generic like saying Houston, Texas <br>
Local restaurants or other places he may stop at while visiting a destination.<br>Painted Portraits, or official Presidential photo Portraits found in various Governmental locations open to the public. Places where he has given a speech as president.<p>
<b>Instructions for Posting a Barack Obama Waymark:</b><p>
To create a waymark in this category, you must record the location of a place or object directly related to the life, or accomplishments, of Barack Obama. <br>To be accepted, the waymark must meet the following criteria:<p>
1) Please title your waymark as: Barack Obama - your description- and Location<br>
2) You must have personally visited the location, and obtained the coordinates using a GPSr, and taken the photograph(s) while at the location. <br>
3)<b>You must provide</b> at least one or more original pictures of the location or the object.<br>
4) The waymark must be directly related to Barack Obama in some way. <br>
5) If the waymark is of a likeness of Barack Obama it should be of a permanent nature.<p>
<b>Instructions for Visiting a Waymark in this Category:</b><p>
To visit a waymark in this category you must personally visit the location, and provide at least one picture* you have taken. Any additional information you can give on the waymark, that will enhance the experience for future visitors, is appreciated. Please give proper credit for any additional information you submit if someone else wrote it.<br>
*( A very detailed description of your visit may be accepted in place of a photo at the waymark posters discretion )<p>
<b>What will not be accepted as a waymark:</B><p>
Generic photographs of the President hanging on a wall somewhere like in a restaurant or school, unless autographed by the President, and presented to the waymark location by the President or White House staff. <br>
Places not normally open to the general public.
