The purpose of this group is to establish and manage a category based on waymarking the trailheads of long-distance walking trails throughout the world. I would define long-distance trails as being trails that require at least one overnight camp to walk the trail from one trailhead to the other. Also the trail should only be open to walking, not moutain bikes, vehicles etc.
Having a comprehensive listing of long-distance trails would be in my view a great contribution to waymarking and the broader hiking community.
