This group will be responsible for overseeing the 'Community Pavilion Category' submissions.
... The 'Pavilions' we are looking for are the type you find in many communities, in some large and small parks and are usually maintained by local governments or park boards. These are used primarily for the gathering of families, groups or individuals looking for an outdoor place to hold a party, family picnic or an outdoor wedding reception. They will be the larger type roofed building that can hold groups of people and can also be reserved for a special occasion. Some allow liquor by permits only after a license has been approved and others restrict the use of alcohol. They are not gazebos, band-shells or private or public picnic shelters, as found in campgrounds, but general access facilities. All of them will have a number of picnic tables, some will have electrical outlets and maybe limited lighting as well as potable water and nearby "comfort" stations.....
