The purpose of this category is to make known many of these overnight facilities to travelers since they are usually not widely publicized. It is to convey the setting and condition of the facility so travelers can determine their preferred places to get away from it all.
To post a waymark for this category, these accommodations must have a country, rustic, Swiss alpine, mountain, or wilderness type theme. Accommodation facilities you submit must be located in nice areas which provide a getaway or vacation type atmosphere. The facilities, grounds, and surrounding demographics must be in a good and clean condition. This category can also include community use cabins that are situated in remote areas nestled in mountains that are open to the public for overnight hikers to seek shelter.
