description/mission statement:
To document, photograph, preserve and waymark rock and mineral displays and specimens. Acceptable waymarks will be rock and mineral displays, glacial erratics (a piece of rock that differs from the size and type of rock native to the area in which it rests), meteorite specimens, and interpretive displays. Excluded are fossils, displays or specimens that are part of a natural history museum, mines, geological sites, and impact sites. Also excluded are rock shops as a whole unless specific displays or interpretive displays can be documented or substantiated as permanent.
