Manage the Carnegie Libraries category. More than 2500 of these libraries were built between the early 1880's and the 1920's. They were built in several countries. Many of the Carnegie libraries have been torn down over the years and many more have been converted to other purposes. The goal of this category will be to record the location of all existant Carnegie library buildings and to note their current use.
