The Houston Chronicle"The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council will dedicate the sun-design mosaic, which was created during The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and will be permanently installed at the children's amphitheater in Town Green Park in Town Center.
The mosaic marks the first piece of public art in Town Green Park, according to the Town Center Improvement District, which set the guidelines for the artwork.
The piece was created by Liebl, a Woodlands artist who is recognized for her mosaics, such as the one at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. Her work has also been featured at the Plaza Hotel in New York, the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, the Texas Capitol, Texas Children's Hospital, the Disney Institute and local venues.
Local supporters of the piece, such as Woodforest National Bank, will join the commemoration. The event will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the children's amphitheater in Town Green Park, located on Lake Robbins Drive between the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the South Montgomery County Library."
