This monument is dedicated to the miners who have lost their lives in the mines of Grande Cache, Alberta.

This black sculpture of a sole figure mounted on a large stone platform with two plaques with the names of the miners who lost their lives, the emblem of the United Steelworkers of America and a small plaque that reads:

Though the seasons may change and the years pass away,
the remembrance of our brothers and sisters shall never fade.

Miners Memorial has the names of 28 miners killed between 1969 and 1999 in local coal mines.
