Brookside Cemetery in Dawson Creek is within the Peace River Regional District of British Columbia. This is the newest cemetery in Dawson Creek and is about 3 acres in size. There is an open entrance gate with brick pillars and the cemetery sign sets back to the left as you enter. The city of Dawson Creek maintains this cemetery and others in the area. At the time we were there some dandelions were making an appearance. There are approximately 708 known interments with many fairly new black slight raised headstones as well as some that are fairly large.

Dawson Creek is in Peace River Country in beautiful British Columbia. It has approximately 13,000 residents in this well known community. Dawson Creek is Mile "O" of the famous Alaska Highway.
In the spring of 1942, tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians arrived in Dawson Creek to build the Alaska Highway. In 2017, Dawson Creek celebrated the 75th anniversary of the completion of the Alaska Highway.
