FR Sur l'esplanade Robert Vasse on peut voir cette très belle fontaine imaginée par Victor Faure et sculptée par Félix Charpentier qui rend hommage à Alphonse Benoit, bienfaiteur de la ville.
Une série de bas reliefs en bronze y relatent sa vie.
La fontaine, faite de 4 bacs ronds entrelacés est surmontée de 3 autres bac et une sculptures.
Au centre, un pilier sur lequel est inscrit "Erigé par souscription publique 1907", élève le buste du bienfaiteur.
EN On the Robert Vasse esplanade you can see this very beautiful fountain imagined by Victor Faure and sculpted by Félix Charpentier which pays homage to Alphonse Benoit, benefactor of the city.
A series of low reliefs in bronze relate his life there.
The fountain, made of 4 intertwined round tubs is surmounted by 3 other tubs and a sculpture.
In the center, a pillar on which is written "Erected by public subscription 1907", raises the bust of the benefactor.
