The building has always had restaurants at the other end. There have been jewelers ’shops in the middle for a long time and on the other side was once a Film Town video rental.
The street scene has changed greatly over the years as the trees have taken over the space in front of the building. Behind it is a large paid car park. The store building was apparently built in the 60s. During 90s it was possible to drive in front of it by cars, today the street is only used for buses and taxis. The building has often been planned to be demolished due to its central location. Even a large spherical cinema center and a residential house have been proposed for the site.

Rakennuksessa on aina ollut toisessa päässä ravintoloita. Keskiosassa on pitkään ollut kultasepänliikkeitä ja toisessa sivussa oli aikoinaan Film Town videovuokraamo.
Katukuva on muuttunut vuosien aikana suuresti puuston vallatessa tilaa rakennuksen edestä. Sen takana on suuri maksullinen pysäköintialue. Myymälärakennus on rakennettu ilmeisesti 60-luvulla. Ennen sen edestä oli mahdollista ajaa autoilla, nykyään katu on vain busseille ja takseille käytössä. Rakennusta on monesti aiottu purkaa sen keskeisen sijainnin vuoksi. Paikalle on ehdotettu jopa suurta pallomaista elokuvakeskusta sekä asuintaloa.
