[FIN] Turun Kaupungintalon puistossa oleva 490 osainen puinen teos Pudelma valmistui vuonna 2011. Sitä oli rakentamassa monia opiskelijoita.
Pudelma on New Yorkin Columbian yliopiston, Oulun yliopiston ja Aalto-yliopiston yhteistyöprojekti, jossa on mukana arkkitehteja, arkkitehtiopiskelijoita ja insinöörejä. Alkukipinä puiselle paviljongille tuli Columbian yliopistosta. Arvostettu opinahjo on tehnyt vastaavia paikallista arkkitehtuuriosaamista hyödyntäviä projekteja myös muissa kaupungeissa ympäri maailmaa, kuten Torinossa ja Tokiossa. Pudelman koko on noin 70 neliömetriä. Se ei ole katettu, vaan sade pääsee sen rakenteen lävitse. Puiston puut varjostavat mukavasti rakennetta ja se sulautuu ympäristöönsä oiken hyvin. Pudelmaa on usein suunniteltu siirrettäväksi, mutta sen purkaminen olisi liian vaikea operaatio. Teoksen omistaa Turun kaupunki.
[EN] The 490-piece wooden work Pudelma in Turku City Hall Park was completed in 2011. It was being built by many students.
Pudelma is a collaborative project between Columbia University in New York, the University of Oulu and Aalto University, involving architects, architecture students and engineers. The initial spark for the wooden pavilion came from Columbia University. They have done similar projects utilizing local architectural expertise in other cities around the world, such as Turin and Tokyo. The size of the Pudelma is about 70 square meters. It is not covered and rain can pass through its structure. The trees in the park comfortably shade the structure and it blends in really well with its surroundings. Pudelma is often designed to be moved, but disassembling it would be too difficult an operation. The scuplture is owned by the City of Turku.
