Marker Text:
On Nov. 10, 1974 the nation’s first MIA banner and flag pole was dedicated under a resolution conceived by Commander Thomas C. Bushing.
About the flag:
The National League of Families POW/MIA flag*, also known as the POW/MIA flag or simply the POW flag, consists of a silhouette of a prisoner of war (POW) before a guard tower and barbed wire in white on a black field. "POW/MIA" appears above the silhouette and the words "You Are Not Forgotten" appear below in white of the black field. - wikipedia
* - While the marker references an MIA banner/ flag, it is now known as the POW/MIA flag.
