The World’s Largest Buffalo was erected in 1959 and stands on a hill overlooking Interstate 94 near Jamestown North Dakota. This giant statue stands 26-feet tall and weights in at 60-tons. To celebrate the statues 50th Anniversary it was official name Dakota Thunder. One of North Dakota’s most popular roadside attractions is available to tourist every day of the year from dawn until dusk and it is free to visit.
