From Washington Street or 1st Street, cross the street to the south until you are beside the building labeled 211 1st Street. Next to it, on the east side, will be a walkway and a ramp leading down to the Bremerton ferry dock. At the top of the ramp, on the far southwest corner, is the benchmark. It is stamped "National Ocean Service Bench Mark," the number 5958 and the year 2021, the words "For information write to the Director, Washington, D.C." with a basic compass designation in the center. The benchmark is in good condition, clearly visible and easily readable.
