WHEELER Reference Mark - Taos County, New Mexico - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This reference mark has been uprooted from its original position and placed in the summit cairn on top of Wheeler Peak (the highest point in New Mexico). Due to the damage that the mark has sustained, I could not determine if this is RM1 or RM2.

The station mark itself supposedly sits beneath the summit cairn, but I did not deconstruct the cairn to recover the station on my visit. The other reference mark was not found on my visit to the summit in 2014.
