EN: The train station of Leuk is located in the village of Susten, which belongs to the town of Leuk, but is located in the Rhone Valley, while the old town lies on a plateau.
The station building is a round two-story structure made of glass and metal with a flat roof, which also contains a small grocery store. The old station building was demolished sometime between 1992 and 2007.
The line on which Leuk lies was completed in 1878 and connects the Upper Valais with the Lake Geneva region.
Today, Leuk is served by the Interregio between Brig and Geneva, as well as two regional lines between Brig and St.-Gingolph and Monthey, respectively, every hour.
Opposite the station there is a bus stop with connections to surrounding villages and the town of Leuk.
DE: Der Bahnhof von Leuk befindet sich im Dorf Susten, das zur Stadt Leuk gehört, sich aber im Rhonetal befindet, während die Altstadt auf einer Hochebene liegt.
Das Bahnhofsgebäude ist ein runder zweistöckiger Bau aus Glas und Metall mit einem Flachdach, das auch einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen enthält. Das alte Bahnhofsgebäude wurde irgendwann zwischen 1992 und 2007 abgerissen.
Die Linie an der Leuk liegt wurde 1878 fertig gestellt und verbindet das Oberwallis mit der Genferseeregion.
Heute wird Leuk vom Interregio zwischen Brig und Genf, sowie zwei Regionallinien zwischen Brig und St.-Gingolph resp. Monthey im Stundentakt bedient.
Gegenüber des Bahnhofs befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle, die den Bahnhof mit den umliegenden Gemeinden und der Altstat von Leuk verbindet.
