You are welcome to fish from the shore, and there are no signs prohibiting you from fishing from the pier, although it's a bit rickety and probably not a lot of fun when the waters are rough. There is also a two lane boat ramp here, free for use, but adults must have a fishing license. Be sure to yield to boaters if you're on the pier, and if you're able to go out, most feedback indicates that your best bet is to fish out on the water somewhere.

You may park at the designated coordinates, which are beyond the park fence, but there are no signs prohibiting you from parking in the spaces closest to the shore. Do pay attention to signs designating parking for vehicles with trailers, and obviously, you shouldn't park around the boat ramp.

The most common species here are largemouth bass, spotted bass, white and hybrid striped bass, white crappie, and blue and channel catfish. Current bag limits may be found here, and be aware that you must report to Texas Parks and Wildlife within 24 hours should you land an alligator gar.

If you need to recycle old fishing line, look for the two recycling bins placed here as part of a Gold Award Project by the Girl Scouts.
