John T. "Titus" Bailey had this house constructed in Rockwall in 1909 and with his wife Lucy raised a family here. The "Craftsman" style home has high ceilings and large rooms, as befitting a wealthy merchant of the era. Lucy (who lived to age 102) lived in the house until 1978. The house fell into disrepair but was saved from the wrecking ball, moved to this location in 2017, and has been fully restored and furnished. Exhibits include furnishings, office equipment, and vintage home entertainment (including a radio-phonograph-recorder). The home is open for tours on weekdays and by appointment. There is no cost to tour the home; donations are welcomed. The guest book is just inside the main entrance.
