Allí tenía su domicilio, donde vivía con sus padres Fernando y Carmen y al lado de sus primos Pilar, Donato, Paco y Dámaso. Y en el bajo del edificio estaba el taller de bronce donde trabajaba Fernando y donde trabajaron luego otros miembros de la familia.
Se educó en La Institución Libre de Enseñanza.
Pero el golpe de estado truncó su vida y su futuro. Defendió la República, posiblemente como voluntad de las Juventudes Socialistas y al final de la Guerra se exilió a Francia. Suponemos que como la inmensa mayoría de los republicanos españoles pasaría por los campos de concentración franceses y se apuntaría a una compañía de trabajadores
Fernando fue detenido e internado en el Stalag I-B, en Olsztynek (Polonia). El 6 de agosto fue deportado a Mauthausen en un convoy con otros 164 españoles. Llegó al campo el 9 de agosto de 1940. El 24 de enero de 1941 fue trasladado a Gusen y allí fue asesinado el 31 de diciembre de 1942.
Con la colocación del stolpersteine de Fernando se recupera su historia para el mundo y sobre todo para su familia. Su prima Pilar con quién tuvo una estrecha relación guardó el secreto de su destino. No fue hasta después de su muerte, hace unos pocos años, que su hija descubrió en una caja con documentos y fotos el parte de defunción que recibieron de la Cruz Roja, donde notificaban su triste final.
Su stolperstein se puso el 28 de abril de 2023 frente a su casa en el número 4 del Paseo del General Martínez Campos.”
