From Waymark WM186V4, hike due west for 0.50 miles. The stone is located on the northern slopes of the sage-covered ridge system that leads down to Fontenelle Reservoir. The engraved stone is a flat slab of reddish-brown sandstone; the slab is oriented east-west and "1/4" has been engraved on the north side of the rock. Several other flat pieces of sandstone have been piled up in a cairn directly to the north of the engraved stone.
